I recently purchased a spoiler in which 3M tape was not sticking properly, so, High Strength Industrial Glue was supplied. I had installed it yesterday, and let it sit, and streaks of the glue dried up on the paint of my car after letting it sit for about 15 hours or so. Anyhow, I was thinking of using a hair dryer and melting the glue and then using a credit card or anything with a soft edge to take off the glue and then using goo-gone to remove any other excess. Is this the best solution? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would think that most spoliers would be bolted on. I've never heard of anyone using 3M or glue on a spolier, but only on side skirts or lips. Try the regular things but as a last resort I have used acetone, but be very careful. Only apply it to the glue and use something like a cotton q-tip. If done right you won't take your clearcoat off.

 

why glue? no good!!! you could have just bought more 3M tape
