08 Coupe OR 07 Sedan?

What's up everyone! I am new to this site and need some advice. First off, let me mention that I do not and have never owned a Infiniti or Nissan Vehicle. I've been eyeing the G37 and am looking forward to checking it out in person on August 16th during a launch party they are having at a local dealership here in Orange County, CA. My question is...do I pay top dollar for a new G37? Do I wait forever before I can even try to negotiate on one? Or do I pull the trigger on a 07 G35 Sedan, for which I could probably get a great deal on since the 08's are just around the corner. Not to mention, a sedan is obviously more practical, less on insurance, etc. My wife and I recently purchased a 07 Lexus ES350 for her last April. It's my turn now and I can't wait...more importantly, I can't decide. AND...if I do opt for the Sedan...5spd auto (Orange County Traffic), or the 6MT? Either way I go, I hope to become an "OFFICIAL MEMBER" soon.

Good luck with the ES350 cause your going to need it if the transmission flares crop up. I just sold my 5 month old Camry because of they wanted to replace the transmission. The ES350's are having the same issues.

Anyway, the two are very different functioning cars. The G37 is going to be a superior performing car for sportiness and the new engine. The Sedan is a hell of alot of fun.

Get the sedan 07. I had a chance to drive it as a loaner when i came in for the 60,000 mile service on my 2003 G35 coupe.

The 08 coupe is not that sexy like the G35 coupe. The 08 coupe have almost the same interior as the 07 sedan. The look of the 08 coupe is not distinct enough. You'll be pay top dollars for a 2-door version of the 07 sedan.

Get the 07 sedan or 07 coupe and you will come out on top.

I think the best the G37 coupe has done in the magazines is a 13.9 so far but its trapping around 103MPH so it should be good for a mid 13 on a good run.

Wow so much bias...

Anyways, what're your plans for your car? What are you looking for in a car specifically? Any children planned in next few years? I would be glad to help you but I need to know what your interests are. Also... it would be nice to know all of your major factors that concern you (example = price).

Don't base your decision on biased opinions and none of the 07 coupe is better than the 08 coupe crap... I can't believe it was even mentioned in this thread. lol

from what ive seen, there just isnt much that the 08 coupe offers that the 07 sedan doesnt. 1/4 mile times are almost identical as are 0-60 times i believe. personally, i dont like the new look of the coupe at all. this is coming from someone who recently purchased the sedan, so im sure my opinion is biased, but opinions usually are.
