Did I just make a bad deal?

I know this is an infiniti forum, and i have an 04g35coupe which i love and think is the greatest car. However i moved to colorado and needed something 4-wheel drive. Sorry that this is about a nissan, but i figured they are similar and i have gotten good help here before. thanks for any advice.

I just bought a 96nissan pathfinder from a nissan dealership in colorado. It was a very good price compared to what other 96's were going for, though it also had much lower mileage than most 96's (78,000)

anyways, I bought it, though they did give me a 1month 1000mile warranty on major parts. However, i took it to my local mechanic and they said it had obviously been in an accident. multiple pieces of teh front had been replaced including the radiator, hoses, fluid containers, etc. and it also had been repainted. He said it looked like whoever repaired it did a good job. There was nothing in the carfax report about any damage and the salesman said he didn't know anything (suprise suprise)

So should i be upset or do anything about this, or since it appears to be in good shape should i not worry about it? the mechanic said he also heard i slight noise coming from the transmission, though i cannot hear it, but i am taking it in for the warranty service to have it looked at

any advice will be much appreaciated

Try to talk with ur dealer/lawyer, there's no way Im gonna buy a car that has been involved in accident.... if ur mechanic can find the problem, I say it's BS if ur dealer doesn't know that

I would not be too upset in that situation, the mechanic did say whoever did the repair did a good job right?, as long as there is no issue of leaking or being overheated. Look on the bright side, you have newer cooling system, if those werent been replaced? you would've need to change them out probably sooner than later anyeways, after all we are talking about an 11 year old car, if its just couple of years old? it would've been a different story.

yeah, on the one hand its an old car, and i plan on driving it in the snow and mountains. Its really just my car that I don't care about too much. However, my only concern is yrs down the road when i try to trade it in will I get 0 trade in dollars since it has been in an accident.
Or maybe since it is soo old i should not even worry about it.
