Tire Sensor Pwnage

Hey all,
I got an '07 G Coupe back in October of '07 and well, like a month and a half ago my tire sensor lit up. I read the manual and I figured it was just low pressure on one of my tires. I checked them all out and they're all running on 40psi. The light turned off for about 2 days before it went back on again. To this day the tire sensor is still lit and I haven't got the slightest clue of what's goin on.

Any ideas?

sometimes the tpms do go crazy and the dealer has to recalibrate them. You should be running less than 40psi though. I think infiniti specs call for 30-33 psi depending on tire sizes.

I had that problem too. Took it into the dealer and they reset the light under warranty.

umm, it also lights up for anything over spec, which 40 psi seems a LOT for a car tire... is that what is recommended by the booklet/ manual?

Check out the owner's manual for your car.

It says that you should have 30 PSI on the stock 17s. You have way too much pressure in your tires.

TPS Question....?

Julio since you have an '07 take it in and have the stealership make the
adjustments needed to your TPS. Why would you put 40 PSI in your tires?
I believe the manual says 35 PSI, that's exactly what you should run. Running that kind of pressure in your tires should make driving horrible plus
it will make the life of your tires short!

Maybe the TPS senses over inflation as well? 40lbs is way too much air for any tire, except maybe a truck.

I know mine are very sensitive in the colder weather, and usually go off when the pressure drops a pound or two.

Maybe it does go off if there is too much air in the tire as well.....

It should tell you on the sticker on your drivers side door jam....I think anywhere between 32-35lbs should be fine. Key to this is to make sure all tires are inflated to the same PSI. If one is off alittle, it will trigger the light.
