Help - 08 G35 6MT - weird tug when I let go gas pedal

I just got my 08 G35 6MT on Friday. Drove it for about 500 miles going from Houston to New Orleans. Everytime that I let go the gas pedal while still in gear the G gives me a tug/pull (kind of a little bump) about 1-2 second after I let go the gas pedal. This happens even when I tap the gas very lightly just for a second. When I let go the gas while in gear, the G gives me a bump 1-2 seconds later. Is this common with 08 manual transmission G's? I've been driving manuals almost all my life (86 Honda Accord, 94 Honda Passport, 2000 Audi TT, 2005 Audi A4), and I don't recall ever having experienced this bump sensation when I let off the gas pedal while still in gear. Any comments regarding this matter is deeply appreciated.

Thanks Gee.

So this is normal for the G? But is the engine braking supposed to be that sudden and pronounced that jolts my head forward? It just seems weird to me, compared to all my other manual transmission cars.

Well if it is that drastic to you i think you should bring it to the dealer? usually when i downshift and left off gas this tull/pull is just the engine breaking much like when you use the brake you are gunna feel the pull/tug forward.

sedan 6MT.

Yes the jerk is normal. It is much less pronounced in higher gears.
