Follow-up on g37 proper break in technique

I recently posted a thread asking how to properly break in a new g37 sport 6mt. I followed the guidelines of
http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm
and the car now has 1100 miles on it. It seems to be running excellent and I am pretty sure I did everything right. My questions now are:
-How can I tell if the rings sealed properly?
-At what mileage should I change the oil and switch to full synthetic?

What brand of synthetic do you use? PP, Amsoil, Royal Purple, M1, etc?

Any oil consumption issues or other issues?

I'm thinking of going with M1 5w-30 EP or GC 0w-30 and go with the OCI of 7500 miles or 6 months..
