Few Questions here...

Hey,

Right now I currently have a 2006 Nissan Titan CC LE, and am thinking of getting rid of it in a few months. I am looking at either a G35 Coupe, Sedan, 350z, EVO or STI.

I really liked the 06 interior when I went to test drive it. Is it true that the 07s are faster? I have been looking or stock 2007 0-60 and 1/4th times, and only found a 13.5, is this normal for them?

Also, how moddable is it? Any real weak points? I know with my truck, some of the rear diffs tend to break.

Thanks,

Mike

No the 07's are not faster than the 06's in the G35 coupes, but the 07 and up G35 sedans and nissan 350z's have the new HR motor and are faster. Low 14's are normal for G35 Coupe 1/4 mile time, the 13.5 1/4 mile time probably belongs to a 07 and up sedan or 350z. Just like any other car, the G35 and 350z are EXTREMELY moddable, but ultimately what do you want your car to do? If you are looking for an excessively fast car, the G35/350z might not be what you're looking for. I say this because you had the EVO and an STI in the cars you were looking at and those cars are definitely faster than ours not to mention cheaper to modify. But if performance and luxury is what you're interested in then jump all over a G35 coupe or sedan. Also if you have any more questions i'll be glad to help you out.

Thanks man.

I have been asking myself that question for awhile now, what do I want to do with it. I want it to be a realiable daily driver, and be able to hit 12s. I have been looking for turbo kits on the car, but haven't found any on some sites.

I want to be able to take the car out, have some friends or family in it, and if I have to step on the gas I can run mid 12s in it. lol...

Is UpRev available for the new engine? I currently have it on my truck right now and I know they are big into the Zs.

Ultimately, i want to be able to have a nice luxurious car that can spank on lightly modded evo and stangs, lol.

Which one are you considering more of getting? G35 coupe/sedan or the 350z? If you want to keep the good reliability in them a supercharger would be more ideal for a DD than a turbo would, UNLESS you are wanting to build the engine, then by all means slap some turbo's on! lol But the 07+ G35 sedans and 350z's will be faster than a G coupe with a turbo/supercharger depending on the mods and what psi your forced induction setup is tuned at. I'm pretty sure you can spank some EVO's and stangs with a supercharger Also im not 100% positive but i think that UpRev is available for the new engine as well.

Well, if the G35 Sedan is faster, than the Sedan. I still want to be able to have 4 people in the car and be comfortable when I take a 3-4 hour trip up to our Arizona house for vacation.

Basically with forced induction I would want to hit about 430 whp, and that's about it. I would be happy with 400 whp. I wonder with that much power with a turbo if it would be reliable. I would also have something to run really low boost in my daily driving, and turn it up when I feel frisky, lol.

Do you know what it would take to get my to run 12s if I were to get a G35 Sedan or 350z?
