New Guy here, Looking for some tips
Hey guys, I am from Iowa, and have always liked G35s, However they are hard to find and over priced around here. I am actually close to Omaha Nebraska as well and they are also few and far between there. Anyway, i just wanted to know if what i am looking for is even possibly out there. I am looking for an 03 or 04 coupe, preferrably a manual, and im only looking to spend about $18,000 and id like to keep miles on the modest range, 50-60,000 at highest. there is a 2004 coupe around here that is an automatic and has 17,000 miles, and is $18000 cheap because it has a salvage title after it was backed into hard in front right corner, some funny story with the insurance company and the guy who had it backed into being pissed off, anyhow, i dont know if i should stray away from that, one its an automatic, two its rebuilt salvage. It looks great but, who knows. Most of the other cars in the area are up around $20000 and high mileage. Anyway im just looking for the positives, negatives on auto vs. manual if there is any major fall backs, because truely i just want a G35 and would prefer manual but, could settle for automatic. I would assume G35s are good for many many miles. Right now i am driving a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP that ive done some work to, and its lowered and has black 19s with the polished lip, so i was also wondering what Infiniti/Nissan bolt pattern was. Thanks for any help fellas. Hopefully i can join you as owners soon.
G35's pricing has dropped a little bit making it more affordable now days (which is why you see them alot more then you did before) however, it didnt drop waaaaaay too much (which is also good to prevent riced out G's). As far as what you're looking for I believe it will be within the range of 23k-28k depending on condition of the G. as far as manual or auto, before I thought that manual would have been better but I ended up getting the auto and I don't regret it one bit. As far as the salvaged title one i'm pretty positive that you can find a better deal then that, thats NOT salvaged it may not be as low as 18k but you'll probably find for example a G35 with 36k miles for like 26k ASKING price which you could always negotiate with youre stealership. hopefully that answered some of your questions. good luck in the search for the G there's gonna be alot of ups and downs but when you finally get it, its totally worth it dude!
there are a few of them around here for $20,000 with about 50,000 miles on them, actually they are like 160 miles out, but maybe thats not such a bad price then. Ive just seen alot of G35s with decent mileage for for about 18,000 so i was hoping to find a similar deal. Otherwise, i can get a 350z for like 15,000 to 18,000 with low mileage, however id rather have a back seat and a more luxury look and feel.

Yeah, i can easily find a 350z around here with 30,000 miles for 17,000 or so, I saw one last week for 13,900 with 66,000 miles. which is acceptable on a nissan or infiniti.
However insurance is higher on the 350z
I still cant believe how hard G35s are to come by in this area, there are 2 within 150 miles one is salvaged and one is priced at 28,000 still.
Are there many members here in the iowa/nebraska area? maybe someone wants to sell and get a G37
