05 turn signal/running light question

05 turn signal/running light question

Hey! I have an 05 coupe, i want to disable the orange forward facing running/city light that comes on with the head lights, and only want it to come on as a turn signal. Anybody kow what i can do, or what wire to snip.

you need to replace those bulbs with a single filament bulbs. right now its using a dual filament bulb. as an alternative you could mask over one of the contacts on each bumb with electrical tape to disable the running light side of the bulb. it may require some guess and check work but the end result is worth it.

As an addition, you might have to grind off a little of the glass on the socket part of the single fillament bulbs because they're shaped a little differently than the dual fillament (to keep you from using the wrong one). A Dremel and fine grinding stone works perfectly to do that if you need to. Just make sure the bulb can fully seat before puting it back into the housing.
