Dual battery covers

I've seen some pics of cars with dual battery covers, the extra one being a JDM RHD part i'm assuming. Is there any point in having two battery covers? Is anyone actually running a second battery for a sound system?

It's for looks only.

The one that goes on the right fills that big a$$ gap where the brake fluid is... There is no second extra battery.. Its for looks... One of the best mods for the money if you want to dress up your engine bay.

You were kidding about having a second battery there right?

It's to balance the look of the engine bay. Nissan was stupid and covered that area on the battery side but left it open on the other. No symmetry. For some people that bugs so we get the jdm rhd one to compensate.

my JDM cover has a micro fibulator installed in it! It was plasma venulator, but micro fibulator is more accurate...

It just a little red blinky light for the helluvit

It’s barely noticeable but when people see it, they ask what it is... I tell them and they want to know more about it... I have to finally tell them - it’s just a blinking light man.

Gotta luv a nonsense mod

I wouldn’t call it a pointless mod… it looks TONS better than the open hole. It should have been covered OEM the way they started to do in 07 sedans… Even if you don’t “show” your engine a lot – it’s a cheap mod that just makes sense.

I just with someone would make one that doesn’t say battery.

Yea, its not really pointless. Especially when you get it for 35 bucks... I actually love looking under my hood now.
Other local G's envy me.

true... you can have the batt covers painted to match the color of your car and they can sand down the word battery

my covers are painted... and getting rid of the letters isn’t as easy as just sanding it down - they are embossed so it needs o be filled with resin and sanded... not an impossible task, just a very time consuming process... I'm probably going to go with a different paint theme under the hood eventually, so I'll have the covers taken care of at that time..

I'd love to see pictures of that engine bay.
