license plate frame

Well im having one hell of a rough time finding a NICE, subtle plate frame, i will need a front and a back frame, and do not want it to cover up the "garden state" on the NJ plate...just gives cops another reason do give a ticket. If anyone can make and suggestions that would be great. I would rock a G35 driver one but its just not my taste IMO

if you don't find one you like, you can always order a custom one

the g35 on the bottom is too big, it will cover the "garden state" on the bottom of the license plate

Get real chrome not fake.

At auto Barn.com they have real chrome frames that are skinny enough to not cover up the Tabs. If you get the fake chrome ones from the auto stores they will look like Sh@t in about 6 months. This is a must if it snows where you live or they use salt on the road. You will save money in the long run buying the real ones, plus they look sweet.

do they make a gunmetal colored one, with the same style as the skinny chrome? i just want something classy that will not take away from the sportyness of the car and look gaudy

Check the site.

Not sure about Gunmetal, but the chrome looks really good. I got them put on my Black and lakeshore slate G's and they look great on both.

I think the back looks very nice with a clean license plate and no frame. For the winter, make sure you keep the license plate clean or it will corrode and look nasty.

For the front, I think you have to get a black frame because the license plate bracket is black and it wider than the plate. If you try chrome or something it will look weird, imo. I got a black brass frame with dark infiniti lettering on it. It kinda looks like this

Mine is the second one from the top but with the infiniti lettering on the bottom part. Also, it looks shiny in real life.

Make sure you can see the whole tab.

Watch out for the wide bottom rim it may cover some or all of your Tabs and the man doesn't like that! That may very from state to state but in MN if the little ID # on the bottom of our tabs are covered they will pull you over. By the way make sure you get the screw caps with the frames, looks alot better when the screws are covered.
