what does the G stand for?

i know its a stupid question but what does the G stand for?

Joke (I forget where I heard it):

At a Nissan/Infiniti meeting, a board member is thrown out the window of a skyscraper while reciting the ABC's and he hits the floor on the letter "G".
The one thrown out and landed on "Z" had a fast tongue.

stands for gangsta. the 35 indicates it is designed for the more refined crowd.

lawls - i think its just arbitrary. the higher the letter the more expensive the vehicle in infiniti..g - m - q - same with benz - c - e - s

no doubt in my mind it stands for gangster. we have a hiding spot for a gun in the rear seat arm rest. that's gangster.

G is for Gran Touring, and 35 is for 3.50 liters; another way of saying 350 GT. thats my guess.
