Debadge entirely and have a mural painted of the actual Mt. Fuji in Japan... of course only Infiniti enthusiasts would know what it means - and I'm not certain its ever been determined that’s what the emblem even is... but it would be different and creative.

From Answers.com, so it must be right

The company's logo is inspired by Mt Fuji, a volcano in its home country of Japan.

What about the theory that it is “the road to infinity”… and several other that have been floating around the internet for years… I’ve never read anything definitive.

Yeah it's not definitive... I certainly don't trust everything from a site like "answers.com" - that was the joke

OP, if you're going to ONLY leave the mt. fuji on then take it off and lower it a little bit. It always bothered me that when its the only thing left on it sits a little high.

+1

Definately lower if there are no letters... it looks better (IMO) when it's centered on the trunk lid... for the coupe its real easy since there are no holes in the trunk - on the sedan you are limited - but looks better on sedan too.
