how do i know what model my g is

I've searched for about 2 hours with nothing really concrete. Sure you can change your wheels and tires but that doesn't mean you have the sports suspension etc..

So how can you tell what model g you have? VIN number?

well my 2 cent is.. when u buy the car u can tell... the top of the line G comes with a sporty kind of rim (also i think it come with BBK's (the bembo brak))...The G in the middle comes with a rims that is about 9 finger "mess" kind things on the rim. i don't know the correct term. and the stock (base) model comes with regular brakes and 7 fingers or mess.

I might not be correct somebody else might be more help

Well, first of all, it depends on the year.

For example the '06 + does not come with brembos, etc.

A G35 coupe with sport suspension will have orange stitching around the steering wheel.

I have an 05 5AT with the orange stitching, drilled pedals, that would make it with the sports susp as well right? vlsd too? I always had difficulty telling because the car has less options than my 04 did.

mines an 03 with sport suspension and 18's. I test drove a regular one then mines, and you can tell the difference.

Forget all these OPINIONS, lol. Take the Vin and call the dealer. Best way to find out for sure because like someone else said, things are interchangeable. If you believe what you SEE, then there are actually SKYLINES running around in America which of course, as we know, isnt true. LOL.

For exmple, there's a G35 coupe for sale at a dealer near me. It say '06 and has the front bumper cover of an '06 but it DOESNT have the projector lights. So something so super fishy about that. i kinda feel like it was in an accident and those lights were cheaper. Or someone changeg them. But if you judged on the lights, you'd says it was an d early model.

As a matter of fact, I'm going to stop by and see what the deal is because SOMETHING's not right. Its been there for A WHILE!!!
