actually, one year Infiniti referred to it as OB, which is what led to all the confusion to start with.

Really??? lol...I just saw the movies Bad Boys a couple of days ago and that line cracked me up.

obsidian black does sound 10x better, but since obsidian can come in multiple colors, including green, red, and rainbow....black obsidian makes the most sense

Actually, it was Obsidian Black in the earlier years. I believe 2006 is when they changed it to Black Obsidian.

I'm looking right at the brochure catalogs for 04, 05 and 07... all three say Black Obsidian. (these are the sedan brochures).

^ Yeah, I've got Sedan brochures for 2003-2007 and it's always been called Black Obsidian.
