Clicking noise coming from passenger side from wheel.

I know you all familiar with a cracking nose that comes from the metal cooling down after you drive the car.

Well I get similar sounding noise coming from my passenger side front wheel while driving.

I heard it first driving by buildings and concrete dividers on the freeway when sound bounced back towards my open window.

Then to make sure I went to a quite industrial area and drove by big warehouse to bounce the sound off of it and make sure that it does come from the car.

then to pin point which wheel it comes from I actually walked/ran next to the car while listening to the sound.

Little background on the suspension.

I had 25+ spacers for about 30K
350Z H-Tech springs for little over 10k I think
Millage on the car around 65K.

It's 05.

I have not taken the wheel off to see if there is any play in the bearing.
But the noise is so gentle that I doubt it could be bearing. Plus it does not occur with every turn of the wheel (now it does not, but before it did)
On top of all that it's not the grinding noise, it's cracking.

Anyone ever had bearings go out? They made any noise? What were the symptoms?

Isn't this the notorious axel click? Sounds like the same thing mine was doing, and I'd be next to walls to really hear it. Dealer fixed it under warranty.

no

I had an axle click long time ago.

That's fixed.

This is coming from the front passenger wheel that's for sure.

BTW (I cant belive I'm actually doing a spell check on somebodys post. I promise it's the first and last time. The only reason I'm posting this is just I thought it was kinda funny when you actually look up the meaning of word AXEL)

Axel is a Scandinavian, German and Hebrew given name meaning "Father of peace"

I had my bearings go out. The best way to test for bad bearings is to go fast on a highway and switch lanes and see if one way or the other causes a shimmy. This is how I pinpointed it was my drivers side front bearings.

I don't think this is what you have though, bad bearings are pretty noticeable.

I guess it's possible the bearing could be in the initial stages of breaking down though. Either way it's about 500 bucks to replace from the dealership.

Is it a rotational clicking sound? Is it proportionate to the speed of the car?

Yeah, the one time I don't look things over, someone calls me out on it. gg. One of the characters I'm working on at work has the name Axel, I blame it on that.
