If you decide you really want the 370Z just pick up an inexpensive DD that will hold its value (e.g. Civic) for a few months until you can get in the Z. Of course you'd be out registration/emission/taxes, but you'd have no monthly payments and you'd probably get back 90%+ of what you paid within a year.
I am dead even with 335 in strait line depending the elevation i race them in..... In handling department my car will bitchslap the 335 as well. I don't see how it will be an upgrade. Keep in mind im comparing my modded car against a STOCK 335. 370z on the other hand is going to be in a different league compared to my car or the 335.

Keep in mind getting 3100 lb car with 350 hp is going to be bargain at ~40k.

Fair enough.

Have you seen a 135i yet in person? They're really nice. Although a 370z would pwn.

Yes, I have seen it and looks okay. I just can't see myself driving the a hatch. Sports car or a sedan is my thing.

But why compare modded to stock unless you intend to keep the 335 stock?

Because the 335 is FI it has a lot more potential for performance upgrades than either your NA sedan or the NA 370Z

I dont realy have much need for the back seat either.

I just like having 4 drs and I like the fact there isnt many modded sedans in my area at all, and not many 6mt either.

its kinda like a sleeper.

Plus i love the look on the face of a coupe g driver after i just spanked him...

Sometimes i wish i got a coupe when i see pics of the slammed ones on 20s with the vip look and etc....

kllubb what mods do you have that you run with a 335, cause I hang with the 335CI untill about 5th gear... but i know the Covertible is alot heavier , I got owned by a 335 sedan on the highway one day.

You are right but I love lightweight cars. Its not just about strait line speed, when it comes to cornering heavy car is not going to do well no matter how balanced and well it is tuned. I would take the 370z over ANY modded 335.

Plenum/z-tube/catback custom exhaust/resonated test pipes/Osiris tune and my car weighs 3300lb with 1/2 tank of gas in it.

You want a 370z because it makes 350 hp at the motor?

Just FI your car and keep it since you have some supporting mods, instead of blowing more money away on a new stock car.

Update and list the mods of your car in your sig so we know how you own the rest of us?

Honda Accord
I wish the new 370Z was out before the end of this year, too.

Oh well, I hope they at least bring the car out to the table at the LA Auto Show at least.
