Parking Lot Aggression

I went too close to the curb in a parking lot yesterday , the damn thing was too high than the regular ones !!

Gave me a ugly bump on the bumper right there !!

I went to a Body Shop today and the guy over there gave me a quote of a $1000 and went on to say that there is a metal bumper behind the bumper cover and that it cannot be repaired, and he has to order a new bumper ..... fix it and paint for me !!

I live in Foster City and San Mateo area in CA, If any of u guys know who could fix this or if any of you guys could fix it ........ Let me know

I got another quote from a mobile repair guy for 350 for fixing and new paint !! ( I dont know if I can trust his work though !!) Check their site out www.dentcrew.com .............Anyone got work done by them ?

I am from chicago originally and I knew guys who fix this stuff for 100, 150 bucks !! ....... Damn !! I got a ton of rental cars my friends bumped or scratched repaired ! ..... none of them ran us down beyond $250 !!

The dent is barely visible ( but still visible )

Any suggestions guys !!

why not just get an aftermarket bumper?
sucks that your bumper got messed up..
but I see it as another good opportunity to give your car a new facelift.

you can prob pop that out from the inside... i dont recall a metal piece at that part of the front bumper.... take off your bumper and see if you can pop it out.. prob will just need paint after that

Take a heat gun, or blowdryer and heat it, then pop it from the inside as a temporary fix. Then when you get some cash together, get a new bumper.

+1

I'm also seeing a small metal bracket on the bottom by the screw which can easily be pried to shape with some pliers.

a new bumper will cost you a grand? try riverside infiniti.. u can get a 06 sport bumper and only cost ~300.. then paint it cost 300-400.. that's 700 total.. for a better looking bumper too

I tried reaching under the car and looks like the metal bracket dosent let my hand in , Im no mechanic so I have to pay someone to get it done anyway.

Another guy gave me a quote for 500$ today, I 'd rather go to RiverSide Infiniti pay 700 and get that better looking sports Bumper CHESTERWANG is talking about ....
