Mine has for 72,000 miles. It uses 1/2 qt in 7500 mile oil changes. I use only Mobil 1 5W30 and M-110 filters. Have since 10,000 miles.

I would hope for OC. Seriously, you buy a used car with 50,000 miles. Has OC. You get a brand new engine. Or you just have an OC free engine.

It's pretty much win-win. I hope when I buy my car, it has OC so I get a brand new engine

My 2003.5 6MT doesn't have an oil consumption problem. It's down only a fraction of a quart at each oil change.

1/2 qt in 7,500 miles is hardly an oil consumption problem, that's normal. All cars burn off oil at some non-zero rate, and this sounds perfect. My old Toyota Camry burned more than that since it was brand new.

I have no OC issues either. I bought the car new and babied it through the break in period and then some. I had never really checked the oil myself until I started hearing about the issues on here. I get my oil changed at the recomended intervals at the dealer. before I took it in last time I checked and the level was fine. I will check it again before the next oil change but I think mine is fine.

I thought mine did at first...06 with 17K miles cause I would smell oil when taking it up to 6K RPM....took it to the dealer they changed the oil and started "the test" and now I dont smell it anymore. Hopefully I am good but either way still have plenty of time on the warranty.

The noisey and sensitive tranny is more of a bitter end to the deal than anything.

Um just to clarify to about half the people in this thread... pretty much only the 05-07 Rev-up engines (6MT only) have OC problems to some degree.

The 03-04 cars, OC will be extremely rare. The main problem was seals or something, and only started when they switched the engine to the Rev-up in 05.
