Newbie here needing pro advice

Hello guys Im a noob here and just wanted to ask some quick questions for ya. Got an '05 G35 coupe automatic w/ sport package. Nothing special just a stocker. Have been reading thru alot of posts here and have been trying to make my own conclusion but there seems to be some discrepancies in opinions on certain things. Im looking for some cheap (well cheap for this car I guess) bolt ons such as maybe a CAI or cat back exhaust or something else I might not know. What do you suggest is worth the money spent? All this car has now is a K&N filter

Thanks in advance and sorry if this doesnt go here or has been beat to death in the past. Not my intentions.

Motordyne plenum spacer is probably the most agreed on on this board for best power/money mod. Exhaust and CAI give small gains, but are more for sound than anything.

Also, there are grounding kits(there is controversy over if they work). Gordgee's is def. the best for that. It won't give you a power gain, but will smooth out your powerband and make your shifts smoother and no hesitation in throttle.

Ingen makes a good CAI for the VQ35de, Jim Wolf Tech, or the NISMO R tune is another. Look in the exhaust section for recomendations on that, I don't think you'll find two people that will agree on any single exhaust. I know a lot have the HKS high power, and Stillen.

Thanks fellas. What exactly does this plenum spacer do? Power gains noticeable?

Grounding strap actually makes powerband different and trans shift smoother? Excuse my ignorance on this but thats weird.
