New and have some ?s

Just wanted to say hey, I've been lurking around on here for a while now.

I don't have a G yet because I'm going to be buying one come spring (when I have the funds and the snow is gone) So probably about April.

I know I shouldn't be planning to far a head because it is still quite a while off but I already have the first few mods I want to do!!

I am unsure of what I want to get, I'm going to spend about $16,000 canadian before taxes and I'm going for the coupe. Haven't decided on the colour yet but I'd love for it to be Carribean blue but anything but silver will do(my car right now is silver and I'm tired of it)

Haven't decided weather I want the 6mt or the auto. I want the 6mt but I feel the novelty will wear off quickley and just become annoying (my city has pretty bad traffic)

So, my question is how is the tiptronic in the Gs? I have only used a BMW tiptronic transmisson and it was alright but not great. I've heard the Gs is really good and won't shift up until it's told to. But how exactly do you operate it?

Thanks in advance and I'm stoked to be a part of the board!

If you go for the auto w/ tiptronic you can buy grounding wires... shifts will be smoother/faster also throttle response will be better

x2 on the grounding kit for auto, and manual. The stillen grounding kit is a POS, however Gordgee's 10-pc grounding is supposed to work wonders. Idk where to get it though.

The tiptronic downshifts for you if it feels like it really need to, but most of the time it assumes you know what your doing and will let you go to redline.
