04 Coupe Brakes and Rotors ... need help
04 Coupe Brakes and Rotors ... need help
Hey guys ... I have an 04 G35 auto coupe and it's about that time to change the brakes and rotors. I'm trying to buy aftermarket ... possibly brembo, but am not sure. Does anyone have any suggestions on brands and possible price ranges. I want to buy them online and get them installed. Also, do you know how much labor is to install brakes and rotors ??? Thanks for your help.
Hey guys .... so I found these. I was wondering if these will be compatable with the 04 G35 coupe stock parts that I have on it. Also, what do you guys think of the brand and the price. Thanks for your input.

You really need to run SEARCHES to find answers to questions like yours:

In my application I was looking for an affordable set-up for the street using OEM calipers. Six pot calipers only make brake pedal feel more linear- they don't reduce braking distances. Vented, non-cross-drilled rotors provide greater surface area for pad to grab.
For the street you want a set-up that will work well pulling out of your garage in the morning without the need to heat the brakes up. This is especially true if you drive in Northern part of the country.
So you get a good organic/ kevlar or semi-metallic pad. Ceramics need to be heated up for maximum friction. Semi-metalics are OEM, which means they wear the fastest and they give off that black dust. Organic/ kevlar pads have a bit less bite but last a lot longer and don't give off black dust, only a light grey dust that cleans much easier.
