Interior door handle

I was getting into my car one day when it was EXTREMELY windy. When I opened my door the wind caught and started to sling it open. So I grabbed the big handle that points up and towards the front on the interior part of my door as I was getting in it to keep the door from hyperextending and ripped the handle off. Anyone ever done this? I'm not sure what I should do or how much it will cost to fix if I took it somewhere, pockets are close to empty.....

I ripped the entire handle off.

Not the handle that opens the door. I'm talking about the big handle that I'm sure everyone uses to close the door. Its about a foot long and 2 inches wide or so....

Super glue would at least hold it on, but I'm not sure it would be strong enough to pull the door closed.

If duck tape can't fix it, then sh*t, it broke!

How bad is the damage on the interior door trim? Or is it only the door handle that broke? The door handle itself with trim piece is about $25...

If you need to replace the interior door panel because you ripped whatever holds the handle down, then it's gonna cost you about $500.

Well bro, start checking the marketplace. A couple people on here have completely stripped the car for racing or are selling parts off a totaled car. There was even a recent thread on one I think 2 days ago, but It sounds like you need a completely new outside cover. Should be cheap if you are getting it off a totaled car.

thanks for all the help guys.

i didn't rip the bolts out or anything. the entire panel is still pretty secure on the door.

the handles appear to be held on with some kind of plastic brackets and they are what busted.

I've got some superglue thats pretty hardcore so i'll give that a try before i go puttin a bunch of money into this....

Take some pics. Maybe it's a very, very easy fix, but we need pictures to tell you.
