Question '07 G35 Sedan and IPOD question

hello all. new g35 owner here. just bought her last friday. blk/sprt/prem/stone.

absolutely LOVE the car thus far except ONE thing. there is no IPOD hookup. outside of using an FM transmitter, what is the least expensive, yet best option for using the IPOD with good sound quality. i don't really care if it will have the capability of being "controlled" through the radio or not as i'll most likely control it from the IPOD itself.

so, any helpful ideas or suggestions??

thx in advance,

jsny

Huh...? '07 G35 sedan, not coupe, right? There are RCA jacks in the center armrest, most of us play the iPod that way, there are plenty of threads on the '07 Tech sub-forum. You can also hack into the satellite radio harness in the trunk, using a Nissan part, and attach your iPod that way. I actually have both, because the sat version shows up on the screen and can be controlled that way.

so the connection to the ipod ends up in the trunk? meaning your ipod must be in the trunk? does it charge it too?

there is a version of the pac-nis that does not use the sat option. it is for radios with no sat option. i had one in my 02 maxima.

the pac-nis i has installed in my G has 2 inputs and allows me to also use sat if i had the subscription.

the install is cake if you are comfortable with popping out a few panels from your center console

the connection is not in the trunk. it plugs into your radio from the backside and you will run the rca cable to whereever you decide you want it to be. as for charging, i purchased an rca to ipod cable off ebay that has a 12v wire to allow it to charge as its plugged in.
