I'm thinking about getting a 2005 g35 coupe, but I had a few questions on the routine maintenance you guys do to your cars, since I have been hearing maintenance is quite pricey for the car? What is your routine maintenance that you guys do, like oil changes, etc.? I'm just trying to estimate the annual cost of maintaining a g35.

Change oil every 12K miles.

 

Change oil every 3-5k..........roughly $50 depends on Oil and filter products you gonna use.

Change rubber roughly once a year (at least one axle) $400-$700 roughly per axle..........also depends on the rubber you will purchase.

Cab air filter every 15k or sooner, depends on the area you live in and amount of dust and such in the air...........dunno how much it cost....prolly no more then $20

Intake air filter.............also depends on the area you live in........I had mine change every second oil change or so........maybe every third. With CAI I don't need filter anymore. Just wash the aftermarket filter, apply oil and back in business.

brakes.......Stock suck *****....so will be replaced every 15-20k (pads and rotors)
Aftermarket could last for roughly 60k. Once again depends on what brakes you go with.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm what else.

Keeping car clean and shiny also cost a little bit.

Roughly $200 a year I would say. Unless you go crazy and get all kinds of ****. $200 might actually be quite allot.

 

I rarely drive my G so I change the oil every 6 months, about every 3k miles. It's cheaper at the dealer than my Corvette was with Mobil 1 (synthetic blend for the G). You could always use your Nissan dealer to save cash, or go elsewhere.
