Playing Music via Phone through Bluetooth to Bose System
I have a 2006 G35 coupe with the premium package. As you all know this system connects to Bluetooth phones for purposes of hands-free calling. It works flawlessly with my Bluetooth HTC Touch Pro and mutes the music when on a call. IS there any way to use my phone's built in Media Player and stream the music to the Bose system? My phone can connect to Bluetooth headphones and play music just fine. The Bose only seems to stream audio when a call is active.
As related question: I also get no audible alerts through my Bose system when getting an alert or text message tone. Is there any way to enable this?

I would imagine the quality of the music would degrade so much you wouldn't enjoy the music anyway.
Buy the ipod adapter and integrate it into the Bose stereo directly rather than through radio waves.
I also have the same problem with texts not "beeping" when they come on. Haven't found a way to enable it somehow

Yes, it seems the radio is programmed only to work with calls and output via front passenger speaker. The quality on Bluetooth stereo is actually quite good. Try it out sometime. My phone can output audio in the same quality as an iPod (given the mp3s are encoded at the same bitrate). I just wanted to see if there was an easier solution before I begin the iPod integration process.
