Shoot the seller a long laundry list of questions including how many miles boosted, when was the last compression test done, who installed and tuned the TT kit, is the motor fully built, etc.

I would definitely be weary though about a 100k mile boosted G on the stock block

fine. The intercoolers go directly where the vents go, and the filter sits almost exactly where a regular pop-charger goes. An aftermarket bumper really doesn't do much for "airflow" for the JWT kit.

lol i actually am very dumb when it comes to engines and turbos. but you are right about the jwt intercoolers, i guess the Nismo bumper would fit it better. but i will be checking the car out next week when im gonna pick up a hood from new york, and i will test drive it and im bringing my boy who is a mechanic

I would be extremely wary. Most TT cars have a massive list of parts that they use to ensure the motor is running fine and safe. This guy has nothing, except for a TT that was installed at a dealer. I mean, where did he get it tuned, how many miles does the turbo have on it?

There seems to be a lack of important information here that anyone who knows anything about a turbo would include if they were trying to sell the car, or hide if it is really that bad.

Exactly my thoughts. You can't just go pick up any FI car without knowing its history, who tuned it, if the internals have been upgraded or not. Too many variables come into play, and you don't want to get shafted giving up a car that is reliable for something that could potentially screw you.

Move along.

This is not the G you are looking for.

The only time you buy a Turbo'd car is when you did the install yourself or a reputable instaler do it for you.

Any time you buy a modded car you are buying that persons problems.

Don't take it the wrong way, but if you don't know your way around an engine you prob shouldn't be looking at a car like this even if it had 20K miles on it.

Highly modded cars like this aren't exactly turn the key and drive like it's stock cars *sometimes* in terms of reliability. The potential for stuff to break or go wrong is greater

I agree with everyone else, do your homework before checking out the car so you know the proper question. Im still learning all these builds so im new to engines to but I wouldnt buy a TT one without knowing everything their is to know. I say you find something else or like many other suggested, build your own.
