bike rack?
Receiver Hitch!
Get a class 2 hitch on your car and reciever hitch rack. Then you can take the bike rack on and off and you won't ding up your car. You can get one that holds up to 4 bikes if you want. I have one and it works great and doesn't touch your paint.
Double check reciever hitch size it maybe class 1, the higher the # the bigger the hitch and please don't tow anything with your G.

This is what I have (except a 2 bike model) http://www.performancebike.com/shop/...slisearch=true. Got it for half price. Works very well. Clears the wing with no problems. Used it with my mountain bike (heavier beast) and so far no paint damage (knock on wood) but I am pretty careful with it. Between Performance Bike and Nashbar you should be able to get one of these cheap on sale.
thank you, ive had a rack before that rests on the car in some way but even trying to be carefull i ended up with damage, i also transport my bike ever week so i think i'll go for a trailer hitch system, as long as i don't need to cut or modify any of the bodywork i think the extra expence will be worth it in the end. i've made a few phone calls already though seems an 03 g35 is not easy to find.
thanks again.
thanks again.
Trunk racks!
Those racks arent bad running around town, and quick trips, but at freeway speeds or longer trips they can really mess up your paint. screwed up the bumper and rear spoiler on my old Mitsu GSX before I got the hitch type. By the way if you get the 4 bike rack you can put your bike further away from the car so your pedals don't ding your bumper. Or wrap something arond them, those things can do some serious damage.
