i like it. if pilots use red / orange clusters for night flights, it must be good for something.

Yea Red and even a dimmer Orange/Amber color is closest in the visual spectrum to black so while driving in pitch black and you look down at your gauges then look back up at the road it takes your eyes a significantly shorter amount of time to adjust back to the road then from White. It's just like waking up in the middle of the night and turning on the bathroom light or opening a fridge, not quite as drastic but similar.

VW gauges look hella cool at night but the Red/Blue are two opposing colors which do strain your eyes against the black.

I don't have a G35 yet but will be getting one in the next month but have driven them at night and the orange is great at night. My current Mazda 6 is a very red amber and would looking into switching to a pure red or a slight amber like I have now.

Big post for my first one but the first of many I hope on here soon as I pick up my own G

The orange on the 03 is terrible. I would replace it with white or blue in a second if I had the money. And whats with you guys replacing the clock? The classic infiniti analog clock is like the centerpiece of all infinitis! It adds so much class to me, I could never replace it.

But yeah if a DIY conversion does ever spring up, I'd love to take a look.

thinking about changing the clock leds to blue... but just that. what do ya think? i like it, but it seems out of place if thats the only blue part of the car (besides my exterior being athens blue and having blue led courtesy door lights)

<-- from another member here

my current stock set up / its not ALWAYS blue.. i just didnt shut the door all the way so i could take a picture

is this worth getting it done for $200??

Quote: It took a long time. I had to replace all the LEDs and then custom make the guage cluster. Then I took out the anolog clock and put in a digital one.
