Driving on 3 low profiles and 1 regular tire...help

Hey guys,

I just got off the phone with my stealership. They replaced a tire when I bought the car and put on a regular season tire instead of a low profile tire. I noticed the other day and called them and told them they need to put on a matching tire and they gave me some bull**** about unless their service technicians tell them its bad for the car, they aren't going to do it.

Isn't that bad for the gas mileage, ride, etc?

Help.
Thanks

They need to put a tire on that matches the specs of all the other tires.

This is a stock wheel?

Coming from a Tire guy as long as the speed rating match on the same axle than it will be fine but if they don't than they need to put a tire that matches the speed rating.

Screw them, get the right tire put on.
Talk about half-***'n the job.
You def need to speak to the sales rep and then escalate it if nec to the mngr.

Dude, you need to clarify a little more. You can get an all-season tire in low-profile.

Did they put on different size tires?? Or did they put an all-season on when you have performance tires on the other 3?

Sorry for the confusion. They are all the same sizes except the non low profile tire has a different tread pattern than the other low profile tires. Is this okay?

No that's not bad for the car. It shouldn't be like that but I don't think you will have any issues with it.

Name and brand of all the tires??

btw, if all the sizes are the same, how can some be low-profile and one not be? They are all low-profile then, you just have two different brand tires.

Anything under a 45-series aspect ratio most often is consider low-profile...even snow tires.

The tires are all the same. They are all 225/60/18 but 3 are 96W and one is 95W with a different tread pattern than the other 3.

You are fine. I would not worry about it. The speed ratings are the same so you have nothing to worry about. The only thing that could happen is you get pissed off everytime you see that your tires do not match. And you have this size on a G35 sedan..
