Its raining today in DC metro area. I was driving in to work I have "2005 G35 Coupe" and I was fishtailing the entire time on the highway. I was not able to go past 45-50mph as my car was thrown right to left, felt like going through a turbulance on a plane. Slip control turned on a few times while i was just driving straight as my car was starting to slid and bounce around in the lane. Is this normal??? I know its a rear wheel drive car but it hasnt happend before...may the tires be worn out? or is it because they are cheap tires maybe? They are 19's. Also my car is making a noise from the front right tire...could the rim be bend or something similar and it causes the car to slip when it rains?

Silly question, but was VDC on? If so, replace those tires.

Was this in the rain?? If so, what brand tires are you running and how is the thread?
Don't cheap out on tires. They are the only part of the car that actually touches the road. It amazes me how many people spend thousands of dollars on performance mods for their vehicles and run a cheap tire. Spend a little more and get a quality tire. It's like buying a blu-ray DVD player and outputting through a normal 480i TV. I've driven on certain tires in torrential downpours and you wouldn't even know it's raining.

Well, my 20x10.5 skate around in the rain to the point that its scary and the are michelin ps2, so...
What do you think of Falken tires? FK452...will it be a big difference from 225/40/19 and 225/35/19? will I feel the bumps alot more?

Alot of members here like the 452's. KNown to have decent grip wet or dry and are very quiet... 225/35/19 out of the 2.. 245/15/19 if your rim is 8 to 9 inches wide.
And you'll be lucky if you hit 20k miles on rear tires.

Its stock...so i am not sure what it is but probably I have the stock volk forged wheels i guess they call it. I am not too good with everythign I am learning one step at a time. Thats why i wanted to know if I get 35 and not 40 will that be bad if its even more low profile. So any tires for these cars will go bold after 12-18k? Do any go over 20?

I have Firestone Firehawks on mine. They are thick as hell but I rather be happy with not sliding all over the place or picking up nails like I did in the Protenzas (3 sets in less than a year). They actually have a tread warranty even with the staggered set up
****ty stockers..g35's come stock with a slight negative rear/front camber..your tires are probably slightly worn on the inner area
