What do G's top out at? (mph)

I couldn't get my G to go faster than 145-147 mph for the life of me.. My G has been demodded to stock and its a 5 AT.. I was keeping it floored for the longest time and couldn't make it past those speeds.

I DID have a huge chunk of the cars' underbody engine cover dragging and flapping around underneath.. Could this have meant that I was drag limited? I know for sure I did not hit the governor.. Car was just stuck at 5500 RPM.

This picture took place at a private runway in Mexico.

yup, that is what i thought. Lots of people underestimate how much difference elevation makes on the G.

3 years ago i took my car to about 153 on the speedo. The car was still accelerating, my nervs werent. I just had an exhaust back then with 4000ft above see level.

I've gone 153-155 in the Coupe, had basic bolts on's. I've gone 175 on my gsxr. the bike tops out at 186. On the bike its easier because it picks up speed fast so you are only driving fast for a couple of seconds, were in the car it takes a bit longer to get to the top speed.
