Ive searched for thread on cleaning Volks but there isn't alot of consistancy... alot of 'dont dos' but have yet to find something that works! And not alot of people look on the detailing thread it seems so I thought id post in the general discussion.

The guy at the volk dealer told me to use jewelery cleaner, then put a coat of quick wax over it. He said he did it on his and they looked new. He also said the dish is anodized stainless steel... anyone confirm this?

If this is true, I asked him is something like CLR would fix the problem. He said he never even thought of that.

Please post suggestions that WORK!

Volks do come with anodized lips.. i generally just use soap and water to clean my wheels.. no abrasive chemicals.

 

Do use only soap and water to clean them.
Do apply a coat of synthetic sealant
Do NOT use CLR on them

 

all i have to say is p21s that cleaner works wonders on any type of rim lol, look it up
