HELP: Traffic Ticket for 'No U-Turn'

He said (actually practically yelling), "do you know you made an illegal U-turn?". I said, at a low and controlled voice, "Officer, I made the U-turn at the intersection because there was no solid (divider) lines and I thought that was ok." He said, nope. That was it.
