Yes this is a good point. I'm willing to throw those pulleys on my NX because engines are inexpensive. VQ's aren't quite so easy on the pocket book

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Thanks for the info guys. I've decided there are better mods to spend my money on than pulleys.

The engines i've tossed pullies on have a separate dampener on the crank, so it's never been an issue for that particular motor I modify. But like i said, in addition to the pullies, i had to upgrade the cooling system and electrical system to counteract the slower belt speed.

Glad I read this post. I was recently thinking about pulleys... Now my mind is on Cams...

i would never spent 400+ on pulleys even if i did have the money lol
