I believe 4/50 on the bumper to bumper and 5/60 on the drivetrain.

Just to clear up the confusion:

Basic: 4 yr. / 60,000 mi.
Drivetrain: 6 yr. / 70,000 mi.
Roadside: 4 yr. / 60,000 mi.
Rust: 7 yr. / Unlimited mi.

One of the most important considerations in buying a used vehicle is whether the original manufacturer warranties are still in effect or whether, based on the age or mileage of the vehicle, the manufacturers' warranties have expired (or will soon expire). Normally, the drive train warranty provided by the manufacturer will have a longer term than the "basic" warranty, i.e. the warranty that covers the rest (namely, "most") of the vehicle.

Added the additional 3 yrs coverage for corrosion in the door sash area... apparently there were several reports of perforation due to corrosion - Infiniti sent out a letter with a sticker for the warranty booklet. (at least for my 04).

it could be something as simple as the thermostat... normal wear items wont be covered.

You'll have to diagnose the reason for overheating before determining warranty or not.

Normally it would be, but not on your car because you're out of the Basic Warranty period. If you got it in late '03, then it expired at the latest in late '07. You've got about 6 months left on the Power Train, but only if you're under 70K miles.

It's possible it's covered under the Power Train, but it depends on what the cause is. Thermostat won't be covered because it's a wear item, but the water pump probably will be covered. If it's the radiator, it's definitely not covered.
