bragging about or mentioning triple digit speeds on public roads

At least for CA: 100+mph ticket = at least $800 fine, 30 days license suspension(no restricted driving allowed!), 2 pts. on DMV record(no traffic school allowed), 2 more points within the same year=6 month license suspension. And if your pulled over driving on a suspended license within that 30 days= 6 month license suspension and mandatory impound which will cost another $300+. From experience SAVE IT FOR THE TRACK its not worth it. Just safely floor it up to the posted speed limit.. I have been warned for this as well but with no tire squeel they cant site you for it.

My previous car only went to 85 on the speedometer. Their attempt to prevent casual high speed speeding, I assume, since the car would have been able to easily exceed that.
Though the G could easily exceed 100, there are dangers involved even if you ignore tickets. A year ago, driving through Texas, driving only 70mph, my tire went flat from a nail. Only 6 month old tires. It was a controlled quick deflation, within 1/2 mile I noticed something sounding wrong, light came on, and I pulled over. At 100 or 110, it is more likely that the tire would have gone out catastrophically.
