Unhappy This is a sad night for me*SOB*

well about 10 minutes ago my dad arrives home from my mosque(muslim church), he borrowed my car, i figured sure why not, better him who likes to go slow than my brother or my mom

him and my family are in the kitchen and my dad says "zamir, im sorry"

now when he says this, a whole lot of crap was going through my mind, mostly that he did something to my car, because of the fact he apologized to me, if someone had hit my car then he wouldn't say that cause the other guy would pay for the fix and i would prolly mod it even more

but no, he apologized....

anyway, he says that he damaged my wheel, and my mom quickly said that he took a sharp turn, i thought "you guys are joking, no way would dad make a sharp turn, he is a slow and careful driver"

but what she meant was, he was coming out of the parking lot taking a sharp right turn and was too close to the curb when making the turn and PRESTO! insta-curba!

i quickly go downstairs head to the garage and take a look at the car, i go around to see the right rear wheel, i kneel down and say "........" i didnt know what to saY! i was shocked, the curb is a full quarter of the wheel lip! ITS HUGE!

i have had these wheels for a full year and take extra care to not curb them, i take wider turns, i tilt my side mirror down to parallel park these wheels are the highlight of my car,it WAS perfect....sigh

looks like nu-brite will have another customer, its not TOO bad, but then again it is dark right now

its not like i can yell at my dad or anything, after all, he did say if nu-brite cant do a good enough job, then he will buy me a new set of wheels

im going to get drunk and sulk in my crappy mood

to top it all off, i just washed the car today since it was raining this week, it was sooo dirty, and i was soo happy to see her all shiny

it looks like more than a quarter of the wheel

I hate seeing this, when it happened to me (a brick fell as I was pulling up to the curb), i felt horrible. I cleaned it out and its no longer as visible. but then again mine is only about an inch at most. Sorry to see this. Hope you get it fixed.

Yeah, it sucks, but it's just a wheel and not that big a deal. I'm sure your father already feels horrible. I hope you didn't make him feel worse by making a bigger deal out of it.

Could of been worse, he could of wrecked it.

haha thanks, yeah he is my dad, i wasn't mad, i know he felt bad about it cause he knows i take pride my car

if it was my brother on the other hand, i would have flipped cause he is the kinda guy that thinks "if it aint worth over a hundred grand, then its a beater" so he would have not cared

but yeah im going to get it refinished, luckily its polished aluminum so i can do it locally

i will post pics of when its refinsihed
