Somewhat urgent question for those of you who track your G's

Hi Guys,

My track car is having some mechanical difficulties, and given that I've already paid for the track day, I'm thinking of driving my 2003 G35 sedan in its place. Are there any prep issues I should be aware of? Do any parts of these cars have a tendency to overheat? My car is bone stock except for tires.

Thanks for any replies. I'm heading out for the track in about four hours, so hopefully someone who knows might answer by then

lol... that's going to be a big change from tracking the Elise.

...if you're headed out in 4hrs, you only have time to cover the basics.
fluids, pads, yada, yada.

like any track situation heat is the big thing.
Additional coolers would be nice but you should be OK for a one time thing.
Just monitor well.

Cool, so no big red alarm bells are going off about some track worthiness problem.

My tires are checked, fluid levels are fine, brakes are plenty thick, so I should be good to go, thanks.

prepare for brake fade (even with upgraded pads and fluid)... pre 05 OEM rotors are same as Altima... tiny and not able to disipate heat... you should get several good laps in per session though... good luck.

I posted another thread with pictures, it went great This car's definitely not built for the track, but it did well.
