Rear tires too wide

I just got these new 20" black rims from my friends old mustang, but the tires a little too wide in the back and my rear fender keeps cutting away the edges of the tire. At first bending the lip sounded like a good idea, but after realizing all the problems with paint, i would like to just do something with the susupension.

Does anyone know a quick fix for this? i found rear coil spacers but none that fit. if you know of any spacers that would fit a '05 sedan let me know. Here are some pics.

What do you need a coil spacer for?

1) You really wanna raise your car? You're in the wrong area as most of us are more interested in lowering our cars.
2) Rolling/cutting your fenders is quite common and the only way to achieve a nice flush fitment with good size tires.
3) Your stock wheels look better.

i wouldnt raise it. The spacers i want would just provide a little more stiff springs.

Hey you WILL NOT mess up your paint if you heat the paint prior to rolling your fender.

I'm not a fan of the rim style, if you plan on keeping those you will need to lower it... Tire size and offsets would be nice to know

rolling your fenders won't ruin your paint as long as you take it somewhere reputable (there's always a slight chance but its like 1/100000) haha seriously nothing worth worrying about. and I'd suggest something else as well, they don't flow well w/ the G

Regardless of what wheels you end up keeping (I personally don't like the ones in the pics), you should lower your car on coilovers or springs, and roll your fender. It's cheap, quick, easy, and chances are you won't mess up your paint. Forget the coil spacer, lol.

If you need springs, shoot me a PM as I have a set of barely used Tein S techs (for the sedan) that will give you a nice drop!

looked at the pics again.. How is your car sitting so high? I've never really seen that before.. 4x4 stance.

Are you kidding us Joe, 20" Mustang wheels? They look like 16", what's with that giant gap between the tire and body? Do you actually believe these wheels look good on your sedan.... Go back to your OEM wheels and stop this nightmare! LOL
