If I have to start on a steep hill I'll turn the music down. Can't recall if I do that when backing up though.

In general if I have to concentrate more I'll turn it down a little bit.

I turn my music down before I turn off my car, so I don't exactly turn it down before backing up, but it's already down. I basically do the same thing, just do it a step before. It's also nicer so I can hear the purr of the exhaust when I turn the car on, and I don't get blasted by music.

I hate backing up period and I avoid it at all costs. I dunno... THere's just something about backing up that makes me very uneasy.. Perhaps because I can't see anything until I'm practically out of the spot.

its a normal thing for me, id rather hear something I hit or someone honk before i hit them, or someone yell before i run them over.
