Cool New Here... Few Questions Please!

Hey guys, my name is Matt. I currently own a 1999 Camaro Z28 but I'm looking for a G coupe. I have a couple in my sights at the moment (but if you're selling yours let me know )

The main question I have is the millage range on these. I'm not talking about gas millage (remember I drive a Camaro...), but more the life expectancy of the cars and what kind of problems they hit at their milestones. So if you could shed some light on that that'd be wonderful.

Now I've test drove a brand new 2008 350Z but have yet to even sit in a G coupe... I'm assuming they ride the same comfort-wise and road handling wise, correct? If not please enlighten me! Of course the cabin size is going to be different but that's totally fine.

And lastly, coming from an owner of a G, what is a fair price to pay for a used G coupe with lets say 60k-70k miles on it? (Particularly a 2004 with the 7 spoke rims, no nav, auto, spoiler... 74k miles)

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Long term, I plan on keeping mine for another 8-10 years, which will put me at about 175K. I'm certain it will last that long with proper maintenance. The only ones to be cautious about are 05-07 6MTs, they're susceptible to oil consumption, so much so that if it's bad, and Infiniti measures it properly, they'll put a new engine in the car.

As for value, try Kelley Blue Book, NADAGuides.com, Cars.com, Autotrader.com.

i got my 04 coupe 6mt with navi brembo package for 16k with 41k miles...so since your looking at a 04 coupe 5at with 70k mile range...id say it'd be rather cheaper then i got mine...or i would imagine so...

There are some cars where AT makes sense. A g coupe is not one of them. Sedan sure, but coupe, imo never. would not even consider.

Currently I'm looking at an 04 Coupe in Diamond Graphite... The color is amazing... I want either black, white, or DG so I could settle with this.. I love the ironing board spoilers on these as well... Adds alot to the car... Only thing bad about it is it is an Auto... So that might end up being a deal-braker. The longevity of the cars doesn't seem to be an issues (which I didn't think it would be)... The current asking price for this DG Coupe is 13,000... Haven't gotten a carfax or anything like that on it yet so we'll see where it goes. Thanks for all the insta-replies too!

Diamond Graphite never looks dirty until you clean it and realize what came off. Since a Graphite interior was a must for me, Diamond Graphite was really my only choice, but I liked the color anyway. I would have loved to have seen a Desert Platinum in person before I bought mine, I may have gotten that. I'd have traveled anywhere to get an '05 Emerald Mist, but they stopped that color in '03.

And the 5AT on the G is a really great transmission. It's pretty much universally praised for it's smoothness, performance, and reliability.
