04 G35 vs 370z

I currently own an 04 G35 coupe 5EAT. I do drive it through Minnesota winters with winter tires and have been able to get through them just fine thus far using traction control.

Wondering if anyone here has any idea of how well a 370z would handle Minnesota winters. Would it be the same, better or worst with winter tires.

I am looking at the 370z right now.

Thanks!

Pretty much exactly the same. More power, just have to be a little easier on it in the snow.

It's a couple hundred lbs lighter with ~40 more RWHP. It will probably be a bit worse in snow.

It depends on your tires. The stock Advan's won't do near as well as a set of Blizzaks. Just get a set of beater wheels and throw some winter tires on it. Make sure they will clear the brakes if you have the Sport Package.

Thanks guys, I just wast sure if it had the traction control like my G.
The traction control with my winter tires (dunlop m3 wintersports) was a winning combo that got me through the last two winters. I figure I should be able to manage with some sandbags, traction control on and snow tires

Traction control in the snow/ice is a fail. You need to be able to control your car by yourself, not the car doing it for you.

Using TC in the snow is asking for trouble. Learn how to properly drive in harsh weather, thats the best "control" possible.

I've gone through 3 winters with snow tires on my RWD sedan and never got stuck in the snow--never shut off TC. I wouldn't really call it "fail"......

I am in DC, winters are not nearly as bad as Minnesota. But I went from G35 to G37 and had have been doing just fine, winter wise. Mine is a 6MT with RWD. But you can get a new G37 coupe with AWD. You would do amazing up there.
