Horrible Gas Mileage

I used to get over 300 mi/tank, but lately I have only been getting 250 max (approx 15-17 gal each time I fill up) over the last month or so.

Granted I do a ton of quick trips/stop go driving but i have never had this bad of mileage. Did a 90 mi trip today and I could just see the fuel needle drop.

Replaced the air filter, did a seafoam treatment, full tires, ECU reset, just had an oil change. Took it to the dealership 2x to run diagnostics. It is actually running lean. Could not find any issues with the fuel system or tank. What the hell is wrong with my car?

Time for a tuneup.....when was the last time your spark plugs were changed? Also what's your mileage?

A tune up can make a huge difference with fuel economy

Why didn't you just buy a Prius?

On, but off topic. Anyone know where to get seafoam in Canada?

Clogged injector? this can make it look to run lean and the ecu turns up the gas to compensate. these cars have no fuel filters so it is plausible.

Plugs never been changed. Car is at 52K mileage. Will probably send her in for a tune up as I need new endlinks anyway.

MPG....not many!

You would think that if he had a clogged injector the diagnostic would have shown that along with any other issues that might be causing mileage issues. :dunno:
