Ecu reflash
Ecu reflash
I am wondering if sending my ecu in for a reflash is really worth it. I have headers, full true dual exhaust, short ram intake, track pipes and a 1/2 in. iso thermal spacer.
just got the osiris reflash (along w/ gettin it dynoed), and gained 11 hp and tq along with a much smoothe powerband with just intake and spacer...
well worth the money...get it...

i only have intake (popcharger w/ z-tube) and iso thermal spacer...i had 242 to the wheels on a mustang dyno baseline and left with 253 to the wheels...
ended up costing me $500 for the tune and dyno time...

I wouldn't say he is running lean necessarily, since the ECU makes adjustments based on the reading the sensors give it.
However, if the ecu is flashed to already provide the additional fuel to compensate for the air inside of having the ecu make the adjustments, then the system is that much better.

OP if theres not a place to take your car, I know you can take yours out send it to Greg or Ryan at Injected Performance and they with re-flash it and send it back.
Worth about 7-10rwhp. I had Altered Atmosphere flash my '03 Z. I had JWT pop, kinetix plenum, UR pulley, top speed headers and injen exhaust. Put me right around 260rwhp. I don't know how much the flash costs these days, but it was expensive when I got it done ($700?)
In order to get a dyno tune it is going to cost me around 1100 if not more because i have to buy an access port and then pay for the dyno tune. If I do a manual reset of the ecu I should be able to get a little more out of it right.
