Clicking shifter

I have the 5AT... when I put it into tiptronic mode, it makes a click and sometimes clicks when I put it back into normal Drive mode. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, how can i fix it? If not, how do i take off the plate that holds the bottom portion of the leather cover and has the "P, R, N, D" indicators?

The click is normal on all G automatics. It's the shift lock disengaging.
