if you want to keep the stock exhaust then pick up a set of HFC's. They will make your stock exhaust tone deeper and louder. You can also go with test pipes if you dont mind the rasp. If you are willing to spend the cash, pick up the Fast Intentions exhaust system paired with HFC's. It sounds beautiful.

I've got an injen cai, motordyne plenum spacer, and fast intentions hfc's and catback and it still kept a bit of its stock sound. The intake and plenum definately keep the stock growl of the engine but make it deeper and a bit louder. Just doing the plenum has a slightly noticable deeper note, but not really... but it's by far best bang for your buck, cheap, easy install, gives your car the best hp and torque gains for the price, and the slight change in the exhaust note.
I personally went from plenum, to intake, then to the hfc's and catback. I'm really happy with how I went about it. My exhaust gurgles just enough yet keeps the signature g35 sound. Not too loud nor droney, and doesn't rasp at all. I'd recommend all of it. Just my opinion

I have resonated test pipes with an HKS system and its plenty loud. I'll get some sound clips up in a few days so you can hear, but if you wanted to have your car even louder then just get normal test pipes. I must say having a loud car has down falls, you will get followed a lot by the cops.

Yea. I got off my whole loud car throne. Cops were the main deciding choice in that. But I had my civic hatch for being waaay too loud without actually going anywhere. My tastes have refined a lot since then. No more over the top flash... but that went away after the 2nd fast and furious came out. Now.. for me at least.. its all about putting a nice refined edge on your car and keeping the noise loud when you get on it and its very appearant that its not stock. As for daily driving I set my upgrades up to where it was not loud or abnoxious in anyway between 1k-3k rpms. Just kept asking myself what would a 50 year old man do here? But yea... long story short those aftermarket exhausts (GReddy, HKS, Motordyne, etc.) though, they sound "nice" they're all waaay too loud, droney, or raspy for my personal tastes nowa days. Like I said, it wasn't bad when I had my civic with an engine drop but times have changed and I dont think having ricer exhaust on a luxury sport is really all that tasteful. ( I also have a really bad feeling all those kiddo's moving up from their civics now that g's are affordable is going to cause a monster influx in the riceyness of our oh so sweet cars)
In all honesty, if you cant tell if its a dodge neon with a eBay muffler or a g35 driving off... there is a problem.

I forgot this clip was around. Excuse the dirty car, lousy weather for a few days, it was raining that day and the only wash bay between my place and the speedshop was closed for reno. The exhaust is actually called the Exotic Speed R1-T...I didn't post the vid.
