so the tint wasnt the main reason he pulled you over? if you didnt cut anyone off you would be ticket free. i dont know much about ca laws but ive only gotten one ticket for my tint. i just paid the fee and court cost...

Your options are take the tint off and get it signed off or pay the fine, Keep the tint and hope you don't get pull over again.

yeah..it was like $90 for the fine and court cost. i live in va and you can take it off and they will drop the ticket or you can pay the fine. i had 35% tint all around on all my cars (va law is 50% on the doors). ive been driving for 12 yrs and only gotten pulled once so i said screw it ill pay the $90. it would cost more to remove the tint and then to have it retinted. do you have to show proof in ca that you removed the tint?

^^^^ Yes... you have to bring the car in and let them see it before they will sign the ticket off. Unfortunately the tint law in California is absolutely NO TINT on front windows unless it's factory tint..

find another g35 sedan with the same color as you and with no tint, swap the license plate then take it over to the station to get it signed off then pay the fine (25 bux). /thread.

they wont come out to check the VIN, they have other things to deal with which are more important. They will use a camera from inside the station to view your car, and make sure it's on. Been there, done it.

You could try that. Ask around your area to make sure they really dont come out, or check out your nearest station yourself. Whatever you do, don't ever go to CHP because they are a bunch of d1ckheads who have no patience and they will d1ck you around for other modified parts.

How about you don't cut anyone off and follow the law on the tint?
