Caliper Color and Wheel Combination

Sorry to everyone for posting another thread about caliper colors. I need rotors and pads on the front so I have purchased the following:

EBC Ultimax Rotors (hope they are quiet)

EBC Ceramic RedStuff Pads

This G35x is from midwest so the calipers have a lot of salt damage/rust. I did a trial run with a rear caliper and was able to sand the rust off and the surface came pretty clean. I painted it Sliver with the Duplicolor caliper paint. It looks alright, but don't really like the silver color.

So when looking at the front calipers, I searched Google for images of yellow stock calipers and ran across this picture:

The only change I was going to make was painting only the middle big part of the caliper yellow and the other part (bar and outsides) black.

These are also the wheels I am looking at:

Thoughts? I think it will look good.

EDIT: When doing this I will take off the calipers and separate the two pieces so sanding/painting them two colors is no issue.

Stock calipers should never be painted or powder coated any color but silver.

What about all black? I think the sliver sticks out just as much the other colors when you have black wheels.

Also, I have searched and with out going BBK, where can I find nice looking calipers for the front that fit stock sized rotors?

Agreed. Anything other than silver or unpainted is .

OP you can get a Brembo setup from 03-04's G35 6MT's if you want to get the BBK look without the BBK price. They can be painted red and look pretty nice.

I used to be okay with black, but even black calipers look ricey to me nowadays.

That said, black would be better than red, yellow, blue, or any other color (besides silver.

Silver > Black > all other colors.

Here is a good example of silver done right; albeit, i'm not feeling the Infiniti decals. But I'd take these calipers, even with the Infiniti decals, over red/blue/yellow/etc. stock calipers any day of the week.

Saw this thread, any idea on aftermarket calipers that fit stock sized rotors?

Thanks, I will probably just buy new stock calipers now that i live in AZ and they should stay pretty clean. It's not that I wanted to paint them, but more they look horrible from the salt/rust damage.

Honestly it's cheaper to paint them silver than to rebuy entirely new calipers. Your choice though. I'm just glad you aren't trying to paint them some outlandish color.

Of if you were talking about a Brembo setup, you'll have to buy the supporting components too (rotors, pads, etc). It's not just plug-n-play with the calipers.

Good luck.

Unless you have a total custom setup like BigC with his blue CALIPERS and giant 14" ROTORS, silver or black would look best with any wheel combination. I can't believe how FUGLY those yellow calipers look with that silver G!
