The all-season mats are discontinued? I was quoted $83 at my dealership on Saturday.

I'm curious to know if the aluminum heel plate could be attached to some all-season mats.

Yes. what you do is drill 4 very small holes into the floor mat. The heel guard comes with hardware (4 screws and slip proof nuts). Just put the screws through the plate and floor mat, then screw the nuts on the backside of the mat. It comes with instructions and is fairly easy to do. It is very secure. The nuts it comes with have little sharp barbs that dig into the backside of the floor mat. They do not shift or loosen over time. This company took the time to design a complete product, from the actually heel guard to all hardware. It even comes with an allen wrench to tighten the screws down.

Interesting, didn't know that. Guess I'll need to order some soon then.

What is it with Nissan/Infiniti discontinuing all of these OEM accessories? Especially something like floormats that are replaced every few years.

What do you guys think of Diamond Plate floor mats? They look real sporty imo, I was gonna pick some transparent mats but I might go with the diamond plate and they look easier to clean

My honest opinion is that diamond plate would look terrible. I haven't seen clear ones in person, but it seems like clear always turns yellow once it gets dirty. Why not just stick to OEM carpet or all-seasons?

^ I have black ones now, my interior is wheat, and if I get wheat on tan they'll get stained. I might get the clear ones to show my blue lights under the dash more

Still would be nice to be able to find some classy looking floor mats (not rubber) that have an Infiniti logo on them or even a G35 logo. Hmmmmm.
